Frequently asked questions

How often does it check the price?

At least one hour elapses between two requests for the same product. The app does not make bursts of requests and does not query products you have not saved. If a shop requires the listing to be read with the phone's browser, that product starts with an interval of six hours: that reading is more costly for your battery and for the shop.

The app cannot read the price of a product

The price is extracted from the structured data that the page itself publishes (schema.org JSON-LD, microdata or Open Graph). If a shop does not publish that information, or publishes it in a format the app does not recognise, the price cannot be read. It is not a fault of your device. Write to us with the exact address of the product and we will look into it.

A product has stopped being tracked on its own

It depends on what the shop replied. If it responds 429 (“you are going too fast”), the app disables tracking of that product and alerts you immediately, without retrying by any other route. If it responds 403, it makes a single second attempt loading the listing in the phone's browser, because a 403 usually comes from the shop's CDN rather than the shop itself; if that fails too, then it is disabled and you are alerted. There is never a third attempt. You can re-enable it, but it is likely to happen again.

I am not receiving notifications

The alerts are local notifications generated by your own phone; they do not travel through any server. If they do not arrive, check that the app has been granted notification permission and that the system is not restricting it for battery saving (on Android this is usually under Settings › Apps › Lisvaro › Battery).

Can I see product images?

Yes. Image display is switched off by default and you can turn it on in the app's Settings. With the option enabled, your device requests the image from the shop's server each time it shows it.

Are my products synchronised between devices?

No. Lisvaro has no user account and no server where your data lives: everything is stored on the device. That means there is no synchronisation, and also that if you uninstall the app or clear its data, the information disappears permanently and cannot be recovered.

I run a shop and I see LisvaroApp traffic in my logs
